>The Varsity Cougars improved their record to 23-3 with wins over Roswell and Pope Tuesday night at home in the Cougar Dome. Roswell had no answers for Chattahoochee's balanced attack in the opening match of the evening. The Cougars outplayed Roswell in all aspects of the game needing less than a single service rotation in each of the two 15-2 wins over the visiting Roswell Hornets.

Nicki Veach scored 9 points in her two Roswell serving opportunities and Kara Brown took advantage of her only service to run off 6 straight points. Allex Doherty lead the Cougar attack from the front row with three kills and a solo block. Nicki added two more kills and Kara blasted one to help overpower Roswell. Kelly Jordan and Libby Schleisman also turned in solid performances against Roswell.

The Pope match was a three game high flying slam, block and dig affair with CHS toping Pope for the second time in as many weeks. This match saw every point was contested with neither team giving up quick or easy points off the serve. The Cougars one weakness against Pope was the 6 serving errors struggling once again at key points in the match just as they did in the first Pope match and again against Milton. With points needed at every service opportunity Lauren Couch took advantage of her big front line and scored 18 of the teams 42 points against Pope; and she did it without a single service error.

While Lauren was putting it in play Allex Doherty, Ashley Warren and Kara Brown were putting it away. The three combined for 23 kills and 5 blocks with Doherty leading the way with 10 kills and 3 blocks in the 15-11, 12-15, 15-10 match.
